Innovating IoT Education Through AR: The Design Journey of EduIoTech
EduIoTech is an educational technology company that aims to revolutionize the way students and enthusiasts learn about the Internet of Things (IoT) through Augmented Reality (AR). The company envisions a web application that offers an immersive and interactive learning experience for IoT concepts using AR technology. This case study will focus on the UI/UX design for EduIoTech's Learn IoT with AR web app.
The Problem
The Challenge of Making IoT + AR Learning Intuitive for All
EduIoTech seeks to create a user-friendly web application that combines IoT learning materials with AR technology. The primary challenge is to design an intuitive and engaging interface that caters to both beginners and advanced learners, enhancing their understanding of IoT concepts through AR interactions.
IoT concepts can be difficult to grasp, especially for beginners without a technical background.
The platform must cater to both beginners and advanced learners with different learning needs and expectations.
Designing an intuitive interface that allows smooth interaction with AR features without overwhelming users.

Maintaining Educational Clarity
Balancing the visual novelty of AR with clear, structured learning paths to ensure educational value isn’t lost.
Our Goal
Making IoT Education Engaging, Intuitive, and Accessible
At EduIoTech, our goal is to transform the way people learn about the Internet of Things by designing an experience that is not only educational but also enjoyable and easy to use. Through thoughtful UI/UX design, we aim to simplify complex IoT concepts and make them accessible to learners of all levels. By integrating Augmented Reality (AR), we create immersive, hands-on learning moments that spark curiosity and improve understanding. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced user, our platform is built to guide you through a seamless, interactive journey into the world of IoT.
Visual
Visual design is a critical aspect of the broader field of graphic design, and it focuses on creating aesthetically pleasing and effective visual elements in various forms of media, such as print, digital, and multimedia. Visual design combines artistic and technical skills to convey a message, evoke emotions, and engage the audience.
Dashboard
The dashboard page shows new packet modules, news and updates, latest form discussion, latest course grades, and progress of the modules we have worked on
Modules
On the module page the user can interact with the available instructors, the user can also view the course via video or have a direct conversation with the instructor, the user can also see the progress of the course that has been completed, besides that the user can make notes directly.
AR Simulations
On the simulation page, users can directly carry out IoT simulations that have been created in the form of 3D simulations, as shown in the design data, which can be displayed in real time and accurately according to the simulation process displayed and users can see the results of the simulation directly.
Detail Workspace
In the workspace details the user can see in detail each tool section starting from name, type, connection, besides that the user can see whether IoT can run or not with the help of the tools provided
